Color Collage: Celadon

Written by Cerise Zelenetz

With roots tracing back to French literature of the 17th century, and historical implementation as a primary ceramic glaze of ancient China; Celadon, this soft and soothing shade of green has been plucked from the fiery Longquan kilns of Zhejiang to take it’s place as our color story of the month. Elevated yet understated, it’s the perfect shade of pale to suit everything from a decorative accent to an allover wall color. Bring a bit of zen to your home with celadon vases, dishware, and flower pots. You can also try the tone underfoot as an area rug, hung in the form of curtains, or to decorate your walls as a woven tapestry.
