Melanie Abrantes Designs: Summer Collection

Written by Jessica Comingore Photography by Melanie Riccardi

You may remember Melanie Abrantes from our first Elysian Exchange video, and she’s back at it with a beautiful new collection of goods, just in time for summer. In keeping with her signature style, the collection cleverly combines the unique qualities of hand-turned cork and wood, while introducing an elegant new material to the mix — brass (just check out those gorgeous coasters).

Taking influence from the city she calls home, the shoot was inspired by San Francisco’s rooftop culture and the impromptu gatherings that take place there during the summer months. With an effortless ease that’s become synonymous with California living, Melanie’s pieces serve as the perfect accompaniment to an afternoon under the sun, and are equally appealing on their own as they are paired together. Personally, we’ve got our eyes on her Buckeye Burl Bud Vase and Cork and Wood Stool. See the full collection here.
